Zgounder: Aya Gold & Silver Cuts 3,501 Grams of Silver per Tonne in the Central Zone

O

ne hole in the central zone at Zgounder, logged DZG-SF-26-945, cut 3,501 grams of silver per tonne over 3.5 meters, including 7,717 grams over 1.5 meters: it is the best intersection in the set of results Aya Gold & Silver released on September 16.

The Canadian company, which operates in Taroudant province the only Moroccan mine devoted to silver alone, reports assays from ninety-seven holes. Around the open pit, ZG-RC-24-155 gives 783 grams per tonne over 13 meters.

A drill intersection is not a reserve: it says where the mineralization lies, not what it will cost to take out.

Zgounder, at the heart of the Anti-Atlas, is already a working mine, with 73 million ounces of silver in proven and probable reserves and a mine plan that carries the operation to 2036. The September 16 results add the continuity of the mineralization, around the pit and across the central zone.

By that date 16,217 meters had been drilled, 54.1% of the exploration program planned for 2026. The drift opened at the 1,825 meter level is meant to allow drilling west of the fault in the fourth quarter, a sector the program has not yet reached.
