n August 13 the Canadian company Steadright Critical Minerals issued two press releases. The first announces that “the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Morocco” have granted its subsidiary NSM Capital an exploitation license for the TitanBeach project, north of Chbika, in the province of Tan-Tan.

The second confirms that its officers remain subject to a management cease-trade order issued on July 30 by the Ontario Securities Commission, for failing to file on time the audited financial statements for the year.
Read together, the two texts invite caution. No Moroccan public communication has confirmed the grant, which the issuer attributes to authorities it does not name.
The head of NSM Capital presents the authorization as a national first by area. Yet 16 square kilometers is exactly the ceiling of a single title converted in full, as set by law 33-13 of 2015.
As for the grades put forward, up to 14.9% titanium dioxide, they come from surface samples and do not constitute a validated mineral resource.
