eeting in Rabat on Tuesday, October 20, Morocco’s National Authority for Probity, Prevention and the Fight against Corruption (INPPLC) and the country’s three financial-sector authorities, Bank Al-Maghrib, the Moroccan Capital Market Authority and the Insurance and Social Welfare Supervisory Authority, approved their anti-corruption roadmap for 2027-2028. It was the sixth annual follow-up meeting of the cooperation agreement that has bound them since November 2019. The review of 2025-2026 presented on the occasion lists training and awareness sessions attended by more than nine hundred staff of the signatory institutions, a strengthened partnership with the Moroccan Foundation for Financial Education and the fourth edition of the forum of ISO 37001-certified bodies, which brought together more than seventy managers from forty organizations, financial and non-financial alike.
The new roadmap gives an important place to carrying out the action plans drawn from the financial sector’s corruption risk maps. It also provides for guides and training to root a culture of integrity, partnerships with academia and closer cooperation with counterpart institutions abroad. Finally, the INPPLC is expected to obtain ISO 37001 certification, the international standard for anti-bribery management systems, in 2027: the body charged with promoting probity would thus submit to the standard itself.
