he management board of Risma met on September 16, chaired by Amine Echcherki, to approve the accounts at June 30. Morocco’s largest hotel group posts revenue of 863 million dirhams, up 15% at comparable scope, carried by room nights in the luxury and upscale segments, and an occupancy rate of 64%, five points above the first half of 2025. Gross operating profit reaches 359 million dirhams, up 22%, and pre-tax profit 212 million against 160 a year earlier. Excluding exceptional items and at comparable scope, net profit attributable to the group stands at 144 million dirhams against 118, or 22% better, even as corporate income tax applies at the full rate this year: the restated charge rises from 15 to 50 million.
The sale of the Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche, effective on May 7, ended that asset’s recurring losses and carries most of the 169 million dirhams the disposals add to published profit, which reaches 313 million. Together with the 500 million capital increase, it brings net debt down from 1,968 million dirhams at the end of 2025 to 1,029 million, and financial leverage from 52% to 29%. “The near halving of net debt and the new franchise model strengthen our capacity to pursue our growth,” says Amine Echcherki. In force since April 1, that model would weigh on only three months of the half and will play across six in the next; work on the future Sofitel in Tangier began this month. The group operates twenty-three hotels and is aiming at twenty-eight under its CAP 2030 plan.
