he Casablanca Bourse has restored the MASI’s float and capping factors to their level before the annual review of 29 October, while it rewrites the index’s management rules.
The Index Scientific Committee took the interim decision on 30 October, and the Bourse announced it in a statement dated the 31st.
The work will cover how new stocks join the index, how the float is calculated, how the factors are updated and how long before a revision is published.
It is due to finish within a month, and the revised rules will be made public before they take effect.
The statement does not say which parameters will be kept, or by how much the rollback shifts each stock’s weight.
