n Sunday, September 6, at the Complexe sportif de Fes, Maghreb de Fes beat Burkina Faso’s Rahimo FC four goals to one in the first leg of the CAF Champions League first preliminary round.
Brika opened the scoring in the seventh minute and Allouch doubled the lead before the break. The visitors pulled one back in the second half, then Titus and Ibayi closed the match out.
The club from the spiritual capital returns to the continent’s leading competition with three goals to carry to Burkina Faso, where the return leg is played on September 12.
The margin is comfortable and it decides nothing. The first preliminary round opens only onto a second, and only at the end of that one does the group stage come into view.
