The seat nobody has vacated
President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation since April 2014, Lekjaa saw his third term expire without a successor: the general assembly of June 5 referred the presidential election to September, leaving him in office until then.
Law 30.09 leaves him a path to a fourth term, since it permits a federation president who sits on continental or international bodies to remain in place. He sits on the FIFA Council as well as in the CAF vice-presidency.

September will settle both questions, since Morocco votes on the 23rd and the federation elects its president.
