The rise owes first of all to the instruments: the new edition includes children from two to seventeen years old and applies an expanded list to adults, so that the gap with 2014 measures a change of gaze as much as a real evolution.

The figures that follow leave less room for argument. Close to one Moroccan household in three counts at least one person living with a disability, and the employment rate among those concerned stands at 12.7%, that is 23% for men and 4% for women.

Only 29.7% hold a medical diagnosis, and in 65.6% of cases the cost of medicines stays with the family.

Prevalence ranges from 14.2% in the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region to 2.4% in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab. It is on those gaps that the announced programs will be judged.
