According to the announcement filed the same day with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, where the Chinese cable maker has been listed since 2023, a subsidiary registered in Hong Kong will hold 80% of the Moroccan company, Acome keeping the remaining 20%. The entity will be born with capital of 10 million euros.

The feasibility report attached to a convertible bond issue budgets the Moroccan base at 228.86 million yuan, of which 162.29 million would be drawn from the bond, for a 24-month build.

Every plant the group owns today stands in China, and the kingdom, carried by its free trade agreements with the European Union and the United States, is described there as the gateway to the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Acome has been making automotive cables in Tangier since 2018.

It is the Chinese and Moroccan approvals that will decide the date of the first reel off the line.
