he Moroccan traveler landing in Bangkok after September 15 will need a visa. Thailand’s Royal Gazette published on August 31 the Interior Ministry announcement that recasts the list of nationalities admitted without a visa, and Morocco is not on it.

Sixty countries and territories now appear on it, for a stay of thirty days. The text, signed on August 26 by Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, takes effect fifteen days after publication.
The scheme it replaces was broader and longer: ninety-three countries and territories, Morocco among them, for stays of up to sixty days.
Nothing suggests a quarrel between Rabat and Bangkok. The announcement tightens a door the Southeast Asian kingdom had thrown open in 2024, when it was chasing tourist arrivals, and Moroccan agencies that sold Thailand without formalities will rewrite their brochures.
