he effective and compulsory start of classes takes place this Monday, September 7, across every cycle and level of education in the Kingdom, under ministerial order No. 047.26 of July 3, 2026 on the organization of the 2026-2027 school year.
The Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports had restated the date on August 7 in a communique. The return was phased: the educational administration and inspection corps on September 1, teaching staff on the 2nd, then pupils welcomed in stages from September 3 to 5.
Classes in non-formal education and second chance classes will open on October 5.
The communique closes on a call to educational and administrative actors, to families and to partners to guarantee that school time and learning time are respected for every pupil.
A school year is not judged by the day it begins, but by the number of hours it will have held until June.
