he National Food Industry Federation and Germany’s Messe Dusseldorf signed in Rabat, on September 3, the agreement that will give Morocco its first international agro-industrial ecosystem fair.

Named Morocco Food World, it will be held in the second half of 2027 and will bring together processing manufacturers, suppliers of packaging and ingredient technologies, investors and foreign buyers. The venue and the dates are to be announced later.
The Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, Omar Hejira, recalled that agro-industry accounts for 22% of the Kingdom’s industrial output and added value, and stands as the third pillar of its exports.
The program contract signed with the federation targets a 16% rise in export turnover and the emergence of seventy new exporters by 2030.
Messe Dusseldorf, which already runs the world’s leading packaging and food-processing gatherings, had never staged anything in Morocco.
