ublished in Official Bulletin No. 7552 on October 15, 2026, Order No. 2157.26 of the Minister of Health and Social Protection cut the prices of one hundred and fifty-one presentations of medicines sold in Morocco, in pharmacies and hospitals alike. Signed on September 22 by minister Amine Tahraoui, on a proposal from the Moroccan Agency for Medicines and Health Products and after review by the interministerial price commission, the text amends the 2014 order that sets public prices for originator, generic and biosimilar drugs. The steepest cuts fall on the costliest treatments: Alecensa 150 mg drops from 44,479 to 32,863 dirhams a box, Sutent 50 mg from 38,480 to 19,976 dirhams, and the six presentations of Ibrance fall from about 24,000 to some 17,000 dirhams.
The revision reaches everyday treatments too: twelve products dosed at 10 mg in boxes of thirty tablets, including Crestor, which sold until now for 167 dirhams, now share a single public price of 99.50 dirhams. Every line of the annex also sets a new hospital price, lower than the old one in every case, as with Alecensa, brought down from 43,615 to 32,226 dirhams in health facilities. For patients on long-term treatment, the savings will add up box after box, with every prescription renewal.
