Morocco Waives Short-Stay Visas for Albanian Citizens

ince Saturday, August 15, Albanian nationals have entered Morocco for short stays without having to apply for a visa. The Kingdom’s embassy in Tirana notified the decision to the Albanian ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs the day before.

The measure makes good a commitment given in Rabat on March 1, 2025, at the meeting between Nasser Bourita and his Albanian counterpart Igli Hasani, which had waited nearly a year and a half for practical form.

The gesture is modest in volume and clear in intent: what Rabat gains here is not a tourist flow but a relationship, in a region where Moroccan diplomacy has so far barely deployed.

The waiver extends a policy the Kingdom widens country by country. At this stage it covers only the entry of Albanians into Morocco.
