n Saturday, October 3, Morocco’s under-twenty side beat hosts Egypt (2-0) at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Ismailia, on the fourth matchday of the North African Football Union (UNAF) zone qualifiers for the 2027 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations. It was all settled in the first half: Adam Baallal opened the scoring in the twenty-fifth minute and Sami Bouhoudane doubled the lead in the thirty-third, according to MAP.
After a goalless draw with Tunisia and a 3-1 win over Algeria, Morocco went top of the table with seven points, ahead of Egypt on six. Of the five teams entered in this round-robin, only the top two will go to Ghana, and the Young Atlas Lions are assured of a place whatever the result of their last match, against Libya on October 6. Their continental campaign will therefore continue in Ghana, in 2027.
