ador West Med has closed a bond issue of 2.2 billion dirhams, announced on September 2, in the form of a private placement subscribed by institutional investors.

The operation was structured, coordinated and placed by a group bringing together Valoris Corporate Finance, Valoris Securities, Capital Trust Finance, Capital Trust Securities and CIH Bank.
The company, which carries the port complex under construction in Betoya bay, west of Nador, presents the raise as a way of diversifying its financing sources. The port is due to enter service in the fourth quarter of 2026, and it is the completion of the complex that this money is to fund.
The question is no longer one of financing but of operation, and it is the first months of traffic that will say what the wager is worth.
