orocco’s Customs and Excise Administration (ADII) has opened ADIL to exports, the online assistant it had until now reserved for preparing imports, according to a statement carried this week by the Moroccan press. For each good identified by its nomenclature and Harmonized System code, the tool gathers the required documents, the applicable standards, the formalities to complete, the tax and regulatory regimes and the tariff advantages provided by the agreements in force, for businesses and private individuals alike.
The main addition is a simulator of import duties and taxes: in a few clicks, users get an estimate of what they will owe, depending on whether the operation falls under the ordinary regime or a preferential one. The new version also details certain specific taxes and fees the old one left out, and opens statistics on Moroccan foreign trade by tariff heading. Reachable from the customs portal, the assistant will thus let traders gauge the cost of clearing goods well before the operation is under way.
